Junior assistant to senior assistant, clinical coordinator, clinical operations manager, practice manager. Then to the Australian Dental Association, leading the work to get the first cohort of dental practices through accreditation, where more than half of the requirements centred on infection prevention and control in dentistry.
It started on the floor.
Kylie started as a junior dental assistant in 2002. Not a natural, by her own account. Wrong instruments, wrong words, the occasional poorly timed reaction to something she was not expecting.
The shift came when she was assigned to work alongside a new graduate dentist navigating the same learning curve at the same time. Two people figuring out how to do the work with purpose and intention, building something together from the ground up. That experience is where the Niche Dental philosophy took shape, long before the business existed.

A non-executive directorship at the Australasian College for Infection Prevention and Control during the COVID-19 pandemic.
